The Right Fit

No two riders are the same

Getting the right bike fit is a combination of applying some good basic rules with some good common sense. Over time, your ideal riding position may change. You may change shape or lose weight, adopt a more aggressive style or simply find that a certain positioning of pedals, handlebars and seat is more comfortable for you. But if you start out by aiming to make a bike fit in terms of optimised transfer of power, aerodynamics, handling and pain-free riding, you can't go far wrong.

How to measure

You'll need a retractable metal tape measure and a book. Stand with your heels and buttocks against a wall and your feet 20 cm (8 inches) apart. Measure from the floor to the crown of your head. Enter the measurement, in cm, in the box on the left. Repeat the process for each measurement and at the end. We'll calculate your ideal frame size on the right.
